Super Saturday Stretch for inspiration--Hybrids

You see a gorgeous new paper by Kiki and say to yourself "WOW I wish I had matching paper to go with that. I would LOVE to have that paper in my album/for a paper layout/actual card..." Well you can! I wanted to show you all how beautifully this paper, from the new Watermelon Splash kit, prints on an inkjet printer.

As you can see I printed the paper out then tore it and used it for my layout. I love how rich the colors stay when printed out onto the white cardstock. The black background makes the fun colors pop as well. Here are a couple close ups of the details in the green and pink papers. I love how it looks like there is glitter even though it is just the paper!

I wanted to show you what the layout looks like after adding ink, photos and embellishment. I am waiting for a flower to dry that will be put on in the upper right corner by the photo.

Using your digital kits for paper layouts and projects is so easy and will save you time and money when you need something fast and gorgeous! To print on cardstock be sure to check your printer dialogue and choose "cardstock" and "Best" for color prints. If you have the option to print borderless paper it will save you from having to cut around the edges. If you are using the paper for an 8X8 page I would still print the paper 8.5X11 and cut it to size. That way you aren't wasting paper. Have fun!

What is the weight of the card stock? - mine doesn't look like that when I tear the paper.

Hi Modesta, it is regular cardstock that I got at Sam's club or Walmart....or someplace like that. :) I believe the company is Georgia? but it is just plain old cardstock, works great in scrapbooking (only comes in white) and is much less expensive that way. I can print on it, spray with glimmer mists and shimmer sprays, paint it, tear it and so much more! Thanks for looking!
