September blog roundup

It's the last day of September today, and I've decided to take a look back at everything that happened this month at Kiki Halbert Designs.

Kiki has been filling up her store with some beautiful re-releases throughout the month. The creative team has been very busy making layouts to show off the kits on the blog. You can read more in these posts:
Kayre hosts the bi-weekly blog challenges, and had some really creative ones this month. Check them out here:
Megan linked us up to some fun ways to be creative with flowers. Have a look.

With all the new releases happening, it's easy for some older products to be overlooked. Megan reminded us of some versatile frames in Kiki's stores.

As a gift to our blog readers, I've created an October desktop that you can download.

Quite a jam-packed month, I'm sure you'll agree. October looks set to be equally busy, with more re-releases, new releases, challenges and spotlights coming up. Be sure to check the blog regularly so that you don't miss anything.

Funday Monday!!

Monday Fun Day!

Hi everyone! Made by Me Inspirations here to bring you some fun links and finds. Since we have a really fun Flower challenge going on right now I thought it would be great to look around the world wide web for fun ways to create flowers or layouts with flowers in them and the more.

Everyone loves those crepe paper flowers and how delicate they look. I found this really fun blog that provides a really easy to create tutorial. So when you get a moment check out 'How About Orange' blog for this awesome tutorial.

What kind of mediums have you thought of to create flowers? Here is a quick and easy tutorial on how to make tissue paper flowers..yes I know the challenge is for layouts, but that does not mean we designers can't be creative in other ways as well..and how fun would it be to receive a gift with one of these on it.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXNeVq2RxFU

As scrapbookers, it's not just about the paper we use but the fun embellishments that we use to accent each layout we create. Stickers, ribbons, frames, buttons, and so on..so how long would it take to make your own embellishments..well here is a tutorial that is quick and easy on how to make your own ribbon rose..

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73S_FyL7DaU&feature=related or here is another one....

Lost and Found: Grunged Up Frames

Over the years, we collect 100s or 1000s of digital scrapbooking kits, some of them we love to use over and over again for our layouts because they just have really fun items. For me I love frames, ribbons and flowers that I can layer and use over and over again. Kiki's 'Grunged Up Frames' is great for just that. The frame have great colors that can be used with almost any kit. The patters and textures are great. Each frame is unique and fun. So head on over to her shop and get your 'Grunged Up Frames' by clicking on the image.
