Quick Page Freebie Wednesday!

I'm a little bit late today, but I'm here with your Quick Page Freebie. Today I used Kiki's Paper Pack Cherries Jubilee with elements from Kiki's Neopolitan Sundae. Enjoy!

Challenge Monday

Hello Everyone! It's Melissa (dolbydawgs) and I'm here to give you a new challenge. Today we are going to do a layout with white space. No....you don't have to use white, I want you to focus your photo/elements right in the center of the layout and leave all the edges blank. Here is an example.

I created this LO with Kiki's Glimpse of Twilight. Now all you have to do is create a LO and send me a link in the comment section of this post by Sunday June 14th for a chance to win a gift card to Kiki's store at Inspiration Lane.

Need a Font for your Layout?

Since kits don't always come with an alpha it's very easy to make a coordinating one with a sheet of paper from the kit. Just follow these easy steps:


1. Open up a new document with a transparent background.
2. Select the paper you want to use and drag it to your new document.
3. Left-click on your Type Tool icon and select Horizontal Type Mask Tool. It's the T with the dotted lines.
4. Draw out your text box (your paper will turn a reddish color).
5. Select your text and size it pretty big. You can always size it down once you move it over to your layout.
6. Type out your title!
7. Click anyone on the document outside of the text box. You should now have marching ants around your text.
8. Click on your Marquee Tool and then click on Select/Inverse. You should now have marching ants around the text and the entire document.
9. Click edit and cut. You should be left with your title which you can drag on to your layout.


Pretty cool huh? Now you can always have a coordinating alpha for your LO's. Check out my example below.

I made my "enjoy life" title with one of the papers from Kiki's Very Dirty Boy Paper Pack. Have fun making your own alphas!

Hi! I'm Jeniffer (jeniffermarie) CT guest and newbie around. Hope you have fun with this challenge. 
You should create a Layout that has:

a) one word for the title
b ) use one frame, twice (repeats 2 times)

c) use two papers

Spring Cleaning

Well, it's that time again. Time for the spring cleaning! I know. I know. Boo, hiss, yuck! This year I'm kind of getting some sort of twisted pleasure from it. Very strange. Don't get me wrong, I'm in NO WAY "company clean" or anything even close to that, but I do actually feel like I've made a dent in the overall chaos that is my home!

The interesting thing is that I find that when I'm in the middle of Spring Cleaning I start to see it reflected in my layouts too. (Now this is a sure sign of a completely addicted scrapper!) I find myself breaking out of the "1 kit per layout" mode and creating layouts with a little of this and a little of that. Now this is the "house cleaning" I can handle! Here's 1 example of what I'm talking about. By The Numbers Challenge

Hi! Sarah (sabedavo) here with a challenge for you. I'm always on the lookout for a great challenge and hopefully you will think this one is a lot of fun! Here it goes...

Create a layout with the following:
5 lines of journaling
4 fasteners (staples/buttons/brads/gems/screws/etc.)
3 photos (can be 1 photo repeated)
2 alphas
1 frame



Here is an example layout for you...

I added some stars, glitter and a journaling strip to add to the required elements.

This layout was created with Aqua Cabana Papers, Grunged Frames, Not Easy Being Green (plus alpha), Le Grunge, Timeless, Cool Nights Blue Sky, Symphony and Retro Jungle Alpha all by Kiki.

Feel free to add other elements of your choosing as long as they are not 1 of the above!

Isn't it lovely? Thanks to the amazing Jamie who used Sprindipity by new kit at Inspiration Lane, with her talents and created this beautiful blog! I love it.
