Au revoir, not goodbye!

As you may have very recently heard, I am resigning from digital scrapbook designing after a wonderful six years. I count this time has having been a real pleasure, getting to know many different people from around the world, working with individuals who became friends, on creative teams, in the various stores where I have sold, and with customers as well.

My creative life is taking a new turn, and whereas I won't be designing anymore, it is not goodbye, but au revoir! This is merely a transition in my creativity and you will continue to see me on Facebook, on Twitter and around various communities.

To thank you for these wonderful years, I'm discounting my store to 50% off, after the National Scrapbook Day events at Funky Playground Designs. Both my design lines will be closing. In the meantime, you can take advantage of the two sales, and get my products at a wonderful discount. It's quite likely that they won't be sold for a long, long time.

In the meantime, as I said, there is a new chapter in my creative life. I've posted about it on my personal blog so you may have already seen the news there:

I am now on Scrap'n with Flair's design team, using their products to create amazing art journal pages, canvases and more. If you'd like to learn more, please follow my personal blog.

Thank you again for six magnificent years of design, fun, and great friendships. Hope to see you at the other blog!

Spotlight: Layout of the month

It's a new month, which means it's time for a new member layout to be in the spotlight. My pick for this month's LOTM is Marie by PattyB.

This striking layout captivated me from the first time I saw it in the gallery. Each time I look at it, I discover more little details, like the glittery scatters peeking out behind all the luscious greenery and flowers.

To create her layout, PattyB used That's Me! by Kiki Halbert Designs.

Check back on the blog on the first Monday of March for the next LOTM winner.

Lost and Found: That's Me

Hi there! As our regular readers will know, Lost and Found is a blog feature that takes a walk down memory lane to focus on the oldies but goodies in Kiki's stores.

This week I've decided to focus on a kit that is perfect for telling your story.

That's Me is a feminine kit made to tell the store about you, yet it is versatile enough to use for everyday pics.

Here are some layouts by Kiki's Creative Team showing the kit in action.

You can fnd That's Me here at Kiki Halbert Designs at Funky Playground Designs.

Spotlight: Layout of the Month

Hi everyone, and happy new year! In the past few days 've been browsing the galleries looking at all the layouts filling up Kiki's galleries.

I'm so familiar with the mischievous twinkle in a toddler's eye as captured in the photos on this gorgeous layout by scrappingirl. It has just the perfect mix of sweetness and grunginess, so I just had to pick it as Layout of the Month.

The layout was created with Recherché by KH's Grass Stains, the perfect kit to scrap a tough little guy who is 100% boy.

Be sure to leave some love for scrappingirl. Then head on over to Recherché by KH and grab a copy of this fabulous kit.
