Well, I've been fooling around with designing new elements. I was inspired by the leather flower brooches that used to be popular in the early 80s. Yeah, I'm a little sentimental... LOL.

Hope you enjoy these and add some whimsy to your layouts.

You can download them here.

It's official! My hubby has been approved to immigrate. We just have to pass the normal stuff like background checks.

I've got some more CT members, which I'm thrilled about. And I've got a new computer so I should be able to put out way more elements and kits because I finally have speed. 2 gigs of RAM ought to fix me for a while.

Wow, yeah I guess I have been neglecting my blog. :)

I now have a creative team! Six wonderful ladies have joined the Scrappy Doodles team! And they do great great work! I'm really blessed to have that talent to work with!

On a personal front, I have some good news! We have an interview for something very important in our lives on Nov. 30th. Exciting! If you don't have a clue what it might be, email me. But most of you do. Yes, the process is almost over! Finally!

I'm currently working on some new kits. One's a heritage kit, the other, dinosaurs...Yes, dinos again. I've redone the Dinoriffic kit and am working on the Scraposaurus kit!

Wednesday, November 08, 2006

Well I think it's safe to say that I have a first CT! I'm still taking applications, but it is here, and growing! I'm really excited!!

I think part of the fun of doing digital scrapbooking is getting people's constructive criticism, get inspired by others and sharing tips and tricks. The digital scrapbooking community is so cool. Everyone is so helpful and fun!

Well it's going to be another busy week. I'm training again this week, and I'm also hoping to get out there and take some new photos. We got our first snow on Sunday, but I was too sick to go out and actually take some cool shots.

I'm working on a new heritage kit which is a real challenge for me. I've never done one, and to tell you the truth it's not easy for me to think of elements to use. But I'm learning. I'll post my new kit on here once it's ready.

Friday, November 03, 2006

Well this was a very busy week. I had lots of presentations and courses at work, and I got a new kit into the store. Dinoriffic is now available. Yay! I hope that it will be used for some cute layouts. I did one of my neice and nephew at the dinosaur museum.

I made this kit for my nephew Liam. I hope he enjoys this page.

This is a new kit I've been working on while sick at home this past weekend. It was so much fun to create. This kit and my dinosaur kit are both going to be up in store this week. Hope you'll have fun with them. There's a glass alpha to go with Waiting for Spring too.

Sunday, October 22, 2006

So I've been working hard on a kit dedicated to my nephew that uses dinosaurs. As soon as I've finalized it, it will be up for sale at Deco-Pages. But for now, here's a preview.

It's official!!!

I'm a designer now for Deco-Pages.com - I have two kits in store so far, and will be working on my next one this weekend. It's such an exciting challenge. Deb's been terrific to work with and I love the design team. It's a great home for me! I hope you'll visit and find something that I've done that you just can't live without. And if you would like me to work on a particular kind of kit, drop me a line!

Well I've been scrapping a few pics in the last few days. I'm experimenting with clip masks, filters and clean, simple layouts. I hope you like these, and I would love your comments. The first kit of my neice is from the Glitter Girl kit by Brenda Johnson of SodyPop designs, next is a kit by Laura Corzine of Punkie Pie Designs and last but not least is the Caleb Kit by Kim Higueria. Well, my first course at work is over. It went really well, but now I'm a busy camper at work.

As far as scrapping is concerned...well I'm just waiting to get more material to use...my bro needs to send me pics, and some friends do too. I have older pics, but it's hard sorting through them! Posted by Picasa

Wow, so things are better today! Beautiful blue sky...although cloudy. But still. Taught for the first time in this new job today. Only part of the course that I'll be teaching, but still, it was great to be back in the teaching seat. I love it.

Still waiting for my brother to send me pics of the kids as little ones. I lost all of mine in a hard drive crash. None too happy about it, because I know I had better pics than him! Grrr...

It's going to be a busy week I think, scrap-wise. But I'm looking forward to the challenge.

Monday, September 25, 2006

Well today has to be one of the most depressing types of days. I'm off sick, going to the doctor tonight, and it's a typical cloudy cold damp fall day. Not to say that fall isn't beautiful. Most days it is. It just seems to really match my mood today. Gloomy. So I'm on the computer, reading new digiscrap tutorials, checking the mail, avoiding the telemarketers and waiting for 8:20 to roll around. That's when we'll leave for the doc. I'm anxious as anything and just want to hear some good news, like I've been over-reacting. But at day 28, I highly doubt I am.

Thursday, September 21, 2006

Hey hey all! I'm so excited!!! I just received the news that I'm invited to join the CT for:

I can't wait to work with her amazing stuff! Just had to give myself a toot on my blog!

Tuesday, September 19, 2006

Well, here it is....my first kit designed by moi! I cannot believe that I actually did it. But here it is. Be gentle...it is my first kit. I would love feedback on it.

It's called Forest Frolic. (Link removed - now available at www.deco-pages.com ). Have fun with it, and drop me a line if you made a layout with it!

Sunday, September 17, 2006

Wow, it's been a busy day. I've been working on my own digi-kit. On this stupid computer it's amazing that I haven't lost my mind. The hardest part is developing the preview! Grrrr!

In other news, I'm one of the finalist for Blue Fairy Design's creative team call. I won't hear anything until September 21st, but I'm so excited. To be a finalist is just a great thing...but it would sure be nice to be on the team. I love her designs.

Spent a really lazy weekend overall. I spent Saturday evening with my brother and his family. And when the kids went to bed, we watched The Blue Collar Tour with Jeff Foxworthy and friends. What a hoot! My sides are still sore from laughing so hard.

Well, I think it's pretty much off to bed for me because I'm really just too frustrated with my computer to work on it anymore. But I will give you a little teaser from my kit, which I will be offering here as a freebie.

Well I'm going to start posting some of my layouts that I'm most proud of. For various reasons. I think with all of them, I learned a new technique or design feature and that's why.

I did this one as part of a challenge on SBB. It was sort of an inspiration challenge. I used the same kit from MissMint as my header, as you can probably tell.

My adorable nephew inspired me to make a great layout using pics of all his funny expressions.

Friday, September 15, 2006

Well I'm finally getting around to creating a blog for my digital scrapbooking. Hopefully in the next few days you'll see my layouts, some links to my favourite sites, and some pics of those I hold dear. Forgive my ignorance as I learn how to adapt to this software.

Hope you'll visit often, leave comments on my layouts, and enjoy my ramblings.

Oh, and a very gracious thank you to MissMint for the Blue Lavendar kit, used to create my banner.
